What kind of paint?

I want to paint my kitchen and coffee tables, but I dont know what kind of paint to use. Which is the best?

I like French roast by sherwin williams but do i use a flat high gloss, semi gloss or is there a certain type to use?

It depends on the look you want. You certainly don't use flat paint on furniture. Gloss or semi-gloss or an enamel will do nicely. If something says "trim" on it, that should work. Make sure you sand down your wood first to get the paint to stick (give it a "tooth"). Priming will do wonders, too.

You can also use a gel stain over just about anything to get a certain look.
