I'd just like to say, I had never seen the banana fellatio video that "proves" intelijunt desine until today. Honestly, I had seen some of the Christians quoting it in their questions before... and I'm quite serious when I say this... I thought they were joking.
I seriously thought they were atheists pretending to be Christians or something, or were just good-natured, and wanted to make fun of themselves a bit.
I never would have guessed, not in a million years... that they were actually serious.
Now, maybe I'm just not in the mood for this today. But I'm having some serious doubts about the future of mankind right now. I had no idea the depths to which stupidity could fall, in a supposedly well-educated society. I used to respect people who finished high school. But apparently, that's not as worthwhile as I had thought...

Yes there are. Try the following websites and do some research:
www.answersingenesis.org
www.icr.org
Check the credentials of the authors of the various articles. Many (most) have PhD's in all sorts of technical, scientific and engineering disciplines; some even from what Christians would consider to be "liberal" schools.
Compare the intelligent design and evolution sides after you've had a chance to research and understand both, then make what you believe to be an informed decision.

How would you explain how our bodies work, how our food is provided in our environment, how we have a protective atmosphere around us and are just the right distance from the sun ( don't freeze or burn up), how rain waters and provides for plant and animal life, how we have hearts and spirits that care for and love each other (that is the image of God), and seek truth, just as you are.
For those who place there faith in science or evolution - do you know that it has been calculated that the chances of all the things mentioned above (and more) occurring by accident is greater than 100,000,000,000 to one. Isn't that foolish to believe that all we know evolved by chance? You would not dream of taking a bet with those odds would you?
It is more about who we are as humans... rebellious, self-centered and comfortable believing that we are in control, rather than a Great Designer who is greater than us. It is just not in our nature but it is true. However, God is perfect love, wisdom, and an awesome deisgner.
Can I ask where would you say the original matter (the building blocks of life ) came from? To say they always existed is not a satisfactory answer.
Give God his due!

this is observed as equivocation. A regulation made and enforced by people, isn't like a predictable trait of existence, and in basic terms the stupidest or maximum dishonest man or woman ought to confuse both. this is complicated a philosophy with a truth, an ought with an is, which, as all people with 1/2 a mind will inform you, is amazingly stupid certainly. @ krystian Yeah each and every residing difficulty that ever existed is an intermediate variety between its distant ancestors and its distant descendants. this can be a fallacy observed as strawman, and unwell salary you any money you want - you've not any arguments hostile to evolution that are fallacy loose.

That's not ironic at all.
It simply follows that since Intelligent Design is mythology masquerading as science, that all of the arguments for ID are equally mythologically based.
And myths and fables never amount to anything when compared to Science and fact.

I really want to answer this q, but I am in vacation and I do not have time now...but I think I wrote to bc_munkee about the subject once. ( I only did not see my word mistake when I wrote micro...instead of macro once...well, but this is not my language...)
I am not personally so hanged up to these theory things...they are theories...THEORIES...no one of us was there in the beginnig, God was ( John 1:1 )...
What matters to me that there was the Creator, and I am part of His creation...I am created by the Grand Designer.
I am Christ's body!!!God has carefully placed each part of His body right where He wanted it. I have a job to do. To keep my signifigance from getting blown up into self-importance, I regocnize that for no matter how significant I am, it is only because of what I am part of.
I can see that you are real smart. You might think that you are using your smarts wisely, but think twice. You think that you can call your own shots in this life ( being a good person ) so I understand that it is hard, very hard for you to enter into a large and integrated life in which God has the final say on everything.
I continue to remember and honor Christ by keeping up the traditions of the faith He thought us, because all actual authority stems from Christ. We do not need to be introduced to these "new ideas of this world", we need to be reminded of these old teachings of the God. His word is as good today and tomorrow as it was yesterday.

bett's right. If there's a point at the end of a banana for ease of entry to the human mouth (*snickers*), then there must be a God.

Do you have a better alternative, such as an unintelligent design theory?
