Parent of a serial killer, the reason is because then you can put him in jail and always know where he is at all times. Being the parent of a victim, is much harder...the grief of losing a child is unbearable for many people, I don't think I could handle such a loss. I would rather have a child behind bars, where I can see em than to have a child be dead. Not to mention many people are filled with a lot of hate and paranoia after their is killed by a serial killer... and I don't think I can do that.

I have to agree with the other people on the group that it is a very depressing question . I would rather like to be the parent of the serial killer . My reason is that I am firm believe on the concept of affection and emotion. As a parent you can influence the deeds of ur children . Regardless what physiologist says no child is born with criminal instincts . They just become one due to lack of caring or guidance . Kids are like tree they need a lot of nourishment and nurturing in the begins , once that part is over they can stand in any storm . I think If I am parent of some one who is suppose to be serial killer in the future , may caring and parental guidance will minimize the possibility and May make the world a safe place to live .

The self-less answer is parent of the killer. the selfish answer is parent of the victim. strange.. never thought about it before.. i think it would be worse to have a child that was a serial killer, but it feels wrong to say that I'd rather my child be killed. wow.. good question

As a mother of two my children are growing up knowing the true value of life and love. As hard as it would be to go on living with out one of them (and the amount of medication it would take to get out of bed), I would rather know that I raised them to love life and people good and the bad. Knowing that my child could kill someone else would mean they never knew or felt love. Its not about your believe in god but your believe in your family, I made the choice to bring two beautiful children in to the world and its my duty to love them so much that they can only give love back to the world.

Hard a** question. Long Answer... Sorry

parent of a vitcim means you at least raised your kid right.

I think I'd rather be the parent of a intended victim who instead killed a serial killer.

A parent of the victim, that way it dosen't reflect on you your child did nothing wrong, your child was a victim. If you are a parent of one I think you would live with always feeling you did something wrong raising that child

..A serial killer, because that can be changed or fixed.
If my child were already killed, I couldn't change that.

To me thats an easy question.

I'd rather be the parent of a victim.

I would never want to be even indirectly responsible for such horror.
