Try Capital One.

You may have to get it "secured" at first. This means you put a deposit down (Like $200) and they only extend a line of credit up to the deposit amount.

After about a year of good faith. Paying on time, and not going over your limit, they may allow you to move to an unsecured credit card. At which point they would return your deposit at the Capital One card would be a regular credit card.

After some more time with good behavior 6 mo. - 1 year you may be able to ask for a credit increase, the might up it to $500. Don't run up your card though. Pretend they haven't changed the limit.

Your credit score is partially dependent on how much available credit you have. I.e. if all your cards are maxed out you are considered a bad risk. If at least half of the credit on a card is available it HELPS your rating. It can help you get more credit, say to get a car loan or for a house.

Good luck.

If you must have a credit card then search the web for cards that you deposit money with them and that is your limit. Better thing to do is get a debit card. You can't spend the money if you don't have it in your account either.

Orchard bank gave me my first unsecured card, I havn't had any problems with them.

Then get a $500 secured with your bank, that will really help rebuild your credit.
