maximum of VWs if no longer all, are very sturdy autos, it is authentic that the aspects may be severe priced, yet you are able to purchase different manufacturers, the unique (Bosch) is the severe priced one, they're all assembled in Mexico and Brazil below positive criteria, when compared with different autos are more desirable in various approaches, I have owned 6 VWs (golfing, Beetle among them), 2 Nissan (Sentras), 3 Chevy (Cavalier and Lumina), a Ford (Ranger) to call some and of all of them I have had no longer a difficulty with the VWs, the Nissan is quite poorly made. merely make certain that the gas device is both digital injection or carburetor, because the older form of mechanical gas injection had it is flaws (ninety's and older). One very last sugestion, attempt the 5 % transmission, you receives extra out of the Cabrio and is via some distance extra relaxing. FYI: The engine has been a similar from 1976 to 2005 or so Is the 1800 cc and some fashions that carry this engine are: Rabbit, Cabrio, Scirocco, golfing, Jetta between others..

I wanted a Cabrio for a really long time. I loved the way they looked - so cute! I sat in one & was completely disappointed tho. Not nearly as cool on the inside. They may be reliable, but I was very disappointed at the way it was set up inside. :(
I would not buy one, even if they were still being made. Sorry!

I have been in the retail business for 12.5 years. I don't care for any European vehicles, because the cost of maintenance and repair is high, while the resale value is low.
Still, the Cabrio is a neat little vehicle, and if you can afford the maintenance and cost of the car, you will probably enjoy it. They drive well. Very sporty.

I owned a 1986 Rabbit Convetible (before they renamed them the Carbriole, then Cabrio). It was a pretty decent vehicle. My brother drove it before me and I don't remember having that many problems with it. Volkwagens are pretty good cars.
