Jesus said love your enemies, pray for them that hurt you, and do good to them that despitefully use you. If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.

When you believe in Jesus, you will fear no evil because He is always with you. Psalms 23:4 : Though I walk in the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me;........
The bible also says that there is no weapon set against you will prosper.
It is a peaceful thing to know that God will provide for all your needs and desires.Matthew 6:33 : Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto
you. Psalms 37:3-4 : Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.

One thing that always comes back to me in the Bible is the 8 Beatitudes. Whereas Moses revealed the 10 Commandments, Jesus taught of these guides to a simple and saintly lifestyle. Two of my favorites Beatitudes are:
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called Sons of God
Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God
Simple words that really touch the core of Christianity.

It brings peace to anyone to believe that the injustices done to them or others will be dealt with by a God that is more powerful than they are, or that life will balance itself out. That no matter what happens, it will be ok, and the universe will once again be in balance.

I know I can always depend on God to carry me through the rough times....that is comforting to know. Also, I know when I die I will be in the presence of my Savior and I will have eternal life in Heaven. If that doesn't give you peace, nothing will!

God doesn't give you anything you can't handle.

Count your blessings.

Everything really does happen for a reason

Thank God for small favors.

I guess those are my spiritual mottos/mantras. I was raised Catholic but definitely consider myself more spiritual than religious

My favorite bit of Bible scripture is:
Joh 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
Joh 13:35 By this shall all [men] know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Here Jesus asserts His authority to command, He proves to us His true character, He shows His concern for us, and He gives us a sure way to know His true followers.
Peace!!
