Well, you can go with the old tried and true like Rover or Spot or like that, but we've always tried to find something the pet responds to. Sometimes a favorite character from books or films, or something we like, or something based on a personal characteristic of the pet in question.
Rabbit had a habit of kicking with his back feet.
Bunny had a short, fluffy tail.
Rorschach was a tortoiseshell with really complex facial markings, like in the ink-blot tests.
Thorby is a Robert Heinlein character--didn't know what size he'd be. and figured if he got big, we could call him Thor.
Woden was born on Wednesday.
Squeaks has a very squeaky voice.
Chimera lived in our house over 2 months without us ever sighting him.

Well, if you want to be really "cutsie" you could name your Yorkey "Morkie". I'm sure you're much to young to know who Mork from Ork was, but it was a TV character played by Robin Williams when he was first starting out. It was a very funny show.
Whatever you decide to name the little cutie, enjoy him/her.

Our Girl dog is named Maggie Mae Suzanne Yvette kicked-in-the-butt-by-love Jackson. They HATE it at the Vet's office.. only put down Maggie. LOL

Diamon or Gizmo? I named my puppy Otto. I think it fits him perfectly. I would wait until you see the puppy and give it a little while.
