I would say show him extra attention then usual, like flirting, that way if he is interested he'll notice you are too, that way he'll ask you out and you can be an item. After that if his flirting with other girls continues you need to dump him. He could just be flirting around because if he can't get you, he'll have other girls lined up. If he doesn't notice your extra attention to him, find another guy.

ALL girls go thru this in high school. If I knew then, what I know now, I would play his game. If you really want him to be interested in you, be unattainable. Don't hug him every time he asks, joke around and pretend you will hug him, then don't ("Gotcha" ) -- for some reason, boys/men LOVE the game of CHASING. Trust me, do you & your friends find that the good guys all date the "bi*ches" at school? It's because they make it hard for the boy to get. Play hard to get, you'll see. If you don't play hard to get, you will see him settle down with a girl that does....

first of all boys, especially at that age dont like only one girl. the fact that he flirts with other girls doesn't mean he doesn't like you....and them. it just means that you have something to think about before considering being in a relationship with him. but its 10th grade so trust me either way you'll get over it. trying to make someone jealous is just playing silly games and once you start doing that you start losing you and your integrity, don't ever compromise that for any boy.

Seems like he is just playing around to use you. He is just baising you and trying to get you convinced to do things that he wants you to do. And he is also trying it with a lot other girls. You should have been careful from such guys. And you shouldn't be letting those guys to use you for their interest.

Sounds like a player. He feels good about himself, confident. He takes it to his head, and likes to mess with girls heads.
One on one he is very charming and gets a lot of "love"
But you put all those girls together around him, and see what happens. (I'm not recommending that).
What I do recommend is not scooping to his level.
Move on, and find a guy who respects you.
He is a player, don't hate him for it, just don't feed into it.
Good luck, hope it all works out for you.

I would be up front with him and tell him you like him more than just a friend. Yes it is a risk but it is quicker without all the games. Good luck.

Maybe he thinks of you as his "sister", and likes your company!
Is he a close neighbor? A relative? Or just a close friend? Some people just like to be friendly and you may have interpretated it as wanting to be a "boyfriend"...
I wish you well..

hmmm......i think he just wants a girlfriend, any girl. if i were you, I'd stay friends with him, play the jealous card a little, and if he still doesn't ask you out, just forget about it.

he has alot of hormone issues. just be yourself. don't ever USE a guy to make another jealous. what goes around... comes around. just keep being a sweetheart and he will come to you... if that's REALLY what you want.
