There is a thin membrane of tissue across the vaginal opening called the hymen. Historically, it was believed that the hymen was a sign of sexual purity that was "broken" the first time a female had intercourse. Nowadays, it's recognized that hymens come in all shapes and sizes, and that they can break and bleed due to playing sports, a pelvic exam, or by using tampons. The condition of a hymen does not "prove" virginity.

They hymen is a small area inside your cervix that is very thin and when you have intercourse for the first time it will usually tear upon penetration if it is reached and you may spot at that moment that is at the point when you are considered to be no longer a virgin.

It's a song you sing in church. Just kidding.I think you meant hymen. The hymen is a membrane that is in a virgin vagina unless it gets broken open some other way than sexually.

it's the "hymen", and it's a bit of skin that covers the vaginal opening. That's what's "broken" when you have sex for the first time and how someone knows if you are still a virgin.

I think you mean the hymen which is a fleshy membrane that encloses the female genital opening and which is torn by the first intercourse.
