I am quite afraid of tall men actually. My first husband was very tall and abusive, so I seem to relate the two. My current hubby is about 5'9 on a good day, so yes there are women who like short men. Best wishes

The majority of the men I have been in love with (including the present one) have been about 5'7". See, when I was 11, my friend and I and our families went sailing together, and she comes out with this line: 'I'd never been seen dead with a guy shorter than I am!'
And at that moment, I made my decision, and told her, 'If I were to have that kind of attitude, I'm going to be so tall when I grow up that I'll never find anyone!' And indeed - I ended up over six feet tall!
Bottom line: Height is not important.

Although I have NOTHING agianst short men I think they can be just as sexy.
Kinda thought I might marry a tall man so my kids are not vertically challenged being only 5'0 myself don't think they would have a chance for any height if I married a man 5'7 .
GOOD LUCK!!!!

My husband is 5'7" or 5'8" and it's perfect. He's a little taller than I am so I feel "protected" but not too tall that I get a cramp in my neck if we kiss.
I never considered height as a thing that I "looked" for. Honestly.

I've dated plenty of guys shorter than me (then again, I'm 6', haha). I think tall girls are concerned about how some guys may react to their height.
I've had very few instances were guys were completely freaked by my height. And if they are, forget 'em. As long as the guy is cool with the height and makes the girl feel comfortable and not circus-freak like, then all's good.
All any girl wants is to feel comfortable, warm and loved.

I've been 6'2" since I was 13yrs old but was very shy and insecure so didn't date much. After some maturing and increased confidence I had no problems finding dates. I do believe height does have some influence on women at first sight but your attitude and confidence is more important after they meet you in person.

Not ALL women prefer tall men! Like my friend is 5'9 and she's dating a guy whos like your height i think. I think the phrase "dont judge a book by its cover" comes into play here....but i would say that most of my friends prefer the standing (no pun intended) of "taller than me"

I don't like tall men. I'm 5'4" and hate trying to stand on my tippy toes. My husband is 5'9" which isn't short, but it's not tall either. You'll find someone.

I wouldn't mind a man that was 5'7", but I'm only 5'3". However, my boyfriend is 6'6"...so, I do see your point. I don't date him because he is tall though, it is actually difficult because He is SOO tall and I am SOO short.

5'7'' is not considered short unless you are a pro basketball player. You can wear platform shoes with lift-up pads inserted and it will add 3 inches to your height. Nothing to worry about.
