i'm used to eating a lot.. mostly fast food, fatty food, etc. when i go on a diet (where i eat very little), i get diarrhea after i eat something. basically i starve myself all day and then eat a normal meal for dinner (e.g. chinese food or mcdonald's). is it the amount of food, the content, or just the fact that my body is shocked that upsets my stomach?

should i be worried? i don't think it's dehydration because i drink about 6-10 cups of water every day. thanks for any advice.

It's because crash diets are unhealthy and dangerous. Of course your body is going to react strange to this kind of abuse. You should stop crash dieting and eat healthy.

Crash Diet=BAD IDEA.

What you need is an entirely different way of eating. Fatty and fast foods have got to go. Try eating baked, broiled, and steamed food instead. There are a lot of nice recipes out there.

If you're worried about getting something to eat tht's good for you, get a slow cooker and use that to make soups and pot roasts. And there are a couple of simple corn bread recipes too that are quite tasty. I saw a number of beautiful recipes too over in the cooking section of yahoo answers.

Frankly, your body doesn't like this business of fast food-crash diet.

Good luck, and feel better!

Don't go on the crash diet. You're screwing up your intestines. For whatever reason your intestines are going into overdrive when you eat little and "flushing" everything out.

There are other ways of dieting without doing that crash stuff.

Keep in mind you'd be surprised at how much fluids you loose with diarrahea. Pepto, fiber pills, etc. will do little in this case. Your body is telling you something, listen to it.

It's because crash diets are horrible on your system. Stop eating the greasy fast food and switch to a healthy diet. When you crash diet and starve your system, you temporarily lose weight, including muscle mass. When you start eating again, you body is in survival mode and will store as much as possible so you end up gaining even more weight back.
Look at weight watchers or southbeach and stay away from the crash diets and fads. Low processed carbs, low sugar, low fat = healthy weightloss.

The crash diet is the problem. It's unhealthy for you to do so, and your body obviously reacts in a bad way... the simple solution is to not go on crash diets!

You shouldn't be crash dieting...that leads to anorexia..and McDonald's isn't the way to go either..it's nothing but fat grams for the whole week...Eat smaller portions..eat fruits n veggies and exercise...

Its because your ******* up your body....of course when you starve it all day and then eat a "normal meal" (as you call it) its going to make you crap....first of all your starving your body from food you need....and then when you eat your not even eating right....how can you call mc donalds and Chinese food a normal meal....what a joke.....mc donalds alone makes me crap....try doing it right and not waiting till the last minute to have a crash diet....i can guarantee your doing more harm then good.

Medications are prescribed for adults and children by weight, so give a child's dose. If dog is <20 lbs, give .25 the prescribed adult dose or 1/4 of an adult's dose.
