At the airport for an international flight, do they allow you to take deodorant that is in a can like axe or TAG? It is in my backpack which im taking with me on the plane. Is it a better idea just not to take it to avoid hassle? Anybody know from experience? Thanks

I would just pack it in your suitcase to avoid the hassle but once it goes through the scanner and all is clear you might be ok but like I said why bother.

No, i don't recommend bringing an aeresol can onto an airplane. What if it exploded in the airplane because of the pressure? If would be VERY stinky (not stinky stinky, but very strong stinky). Your best bet would be in checked luggage. On the other hand, i'll just bring stick deoderant.

Things may have changed, but many years ago I worked at an airport, and aerosols were not allowed.

I travel extensively and have never had a problem with personal care aerosols in carry on baggage. You may NOT put it in checked baggage, though.

the most they'll do is check the can for a false bottom and make the security point smell good for once

I'd do anything to avoid a hassle. If you aren't sure, don't.

i'm not sure. I would say that unless you think you are going to need it on the plan. Chuck it!
