I have a 2 year old golden retreiver and her fur isn't "too bad" she has fairly short hair compared to some of the other goldens I have seen. They are great dogs but FULL of energy...she ALWAYS needs attention, and if she doesn't get it she invents ways to get it (ie getting into the laundry to get socks, get in the garbage etc) Just thought would warn ya about that incase you weren't aware of how much energy they have... but she is a GREAT dog, loves to cuddle and always happy to see you...
If you are wanting another dog do like others have suggested, help around the house, clean up the dog poop, brush your dog you have, be active with the dog, showing that your parents wont have to "take care of it"....
Good luck getting it... They are really great dogs....when they arent being naughty.... talking with people that have them their dogs are just like mine, and have a mind of their own... and can be temid too...

What's the point in posting this question twice on yahoo answer? If your parents won't allow you to have a puppy, maybe they had a good reason not to. Picking up fur is one thing but responsibility, time and money is most important. Wait till your older, get a job or volunteer your time with animals in need at your local animal shelter.

Okay, first of all, don't bug them about it alot, but do things without being told to . LIke, wash the dishes, and put them away. keep your room clean. Save up your money and when you get like 100 or some dollars tell them that u can buy the dog food.
Make good grades
don't backtalk
don't whine
and listen to them whenever they are talking to you
goood luckkkkkkkkkk

You can stop whining about it that will be the first step to show your parents that you are grown up enough to have a pet. Secondly, Do your chores and take care of any other pets you have without them asking you to or without you pointing out that you are doing it. They will notice. Lastly, act mature do what your told.

Clearly, they've seen how well you clean up after the pets you already have. Take care of your responsibilities before taking on more!

If your parents don't want another dog, then that's up to them. Wait till you have your own place. Then you can have as many as you can afford. Sounds like your parents aren't as crazy about pets as you are. If you are old enough. Go volunteer at a shelter.

so stop whining, keep cleaning and go volunteer at the SPCA. puppies are a big responsibility and if your parents perceive that you're not being responsible NOW there's no way you're gonna get another dog

You should volunteer weekly or more at your local humane society or animal shelter. This will show them that you are dedicated to looking after animals, and that you have the time to do it.

finish school, get a job, buy a house,
And then do something bad.
Then you will be ready to take care of it. And you'll deserve it.
