I'm trying to start a Community Service Project to better the environment and to raise awareness about its current conditions. So far I have things like: beach clean-ups, Writing the government, Visisting classrooms, writing environmentally aware children's books, and holding a local carnival to educate the community. I was wondering if anyone else had some interesting ideas.

Plant tree saplings. encourage your community to grow 1 fruit baring tree, so that many birds can come and the whole environment becomes lovely.
