If you're talking about Poodles, and the myriad "-oodle" designer mixes that are half Poodles, it's important to remember that these dogs *aren't* their own "breeds". They aren't breeds at all. They are mixes. Mutts. Dogs you could find at any shelter in the country. The only "difference" is that some greedy jerk gave these "-oodle" dogs a cute, marketing-friendly name.
Hope this helps!

There aren't many "true" breeds in a short time, it can take many, many years for them to become a true, recognised breed in one country, let alone worldwide. Many of the real breeds around today have been around for a long time.
If you're talking about all of the "new" dogs popping up, with cute names, most are mixes. This doesn't make them any less better as a pet (in fact, some would argue that mixes are better than purebred dogs). As for them all coming from just one type of dog, they actually come from at least two that have been bred together. Generally a semi-new looking breed can appear but it is often just an "improved" or new version of an older breed but has just beens selectively bred.

By puppymilling and calling mutts by a new name so gullible people can think they're special because they paid $1000 from an ill-bred unhealthy genetic mutant mixed breed when they could have gotten the same thing, except healthier, from the local pound for $50.
Hey! Cool, I have a Bloodback Ridgehound without even ever knowing it. Too bad I got him neutered or I'd have to have some OMGTEHPUPPIEZ!!KONE!! Except that my bloodhound x ridgeback was an accident, a mutt, a pound rescue--and also the greatest dog ever. But he's still a mutt. End of story.
