I live in San Jose, CA. I was plannin on taking my bf to Six Flags Marine World (Vallejo) for his bday this Saturday (7/15/06). But there is Lauryn Hill Concert at this club in Santa Cruz the same day at 9:30PM. Lauryn Hill is one of my favorite singers & she never does concerts anymore.. My best friend really wants me to go and we haven't hung out really all summer b/c I work a lot or spend time with my bf.. I feel guilty

Do you think its messed up to tell my bf I wanna go 2 the concert later on?.. Should I suggest we go on Sunday.. or should we just go on Saturday like planned and then I could go to the concert later on?

I really haven't spent any quality time with my best friend with just us.. and I kinda wanted it to be just a girls night.. but I feel bad about how my BF might take it as me ditching him on his special day.

Do you and your BF do everyting together? You can't base your entire life on a relationship that probably won't last a life time. I wouldn't think going to the concert would even be a consideration as long as you fulfilled the obligation you made earlier in the day. Tell him he's welcome to buy a ticket and come to the concert with you. Go enjoy yourself and just life in general. Don't worry about the small stuff. It's all small stuff any way. That's how you have to take life, look at it like it's small stuff then take one step at a time. Go out and have some fun.

Lauryn Hill undeniably became between the most proficient women human beings in the game! i imagine with each and every of the emotional turmoil and public outbursts, she type of close down. even as she connected herself to that religious consultant and all started making all those blunt statements and offending her fanbase, she quite alienated human beings. I loved her song and that i do experience she is sorely ignored, notwithstanding the comments that she made/did not make with regard to the listening of her song by white individuals, do reasonate hotly with me. that is opposite racism, because no longer all white human beings are undesirable and there have been a crap ton of white followers who lost a range of of respect for her after those comments went public. i imagine she ought to come decrease back and denounce her unusual behaviors and make some solid song again!

If the concert's on his actual b-day, I'd say go with your bf, but if it isn't just explain to him that you'll go on Sunday!

If you really care for you bf like you say you do or think you do, then its supposed to be his day.If you don't want to spend the day with him, then i think you don't know what a bf is.
