I have been talking to a guy online for about 3 weeks and he asked me last week if I wanted to go out. I told him I was off today and I just presumed we would be meeting today. Over the past week we have talked every evening but no actual date was mentioned and I just presumed we would decide on it last night but he didnt' even mention it. I have been online all morning to see if I find him online but not as of yet. He seems like a nice guy and I have learned alot about him and stuff . I am a little annoyed that I got my things done yesterday in order to have the day free to meet him and now I am going to spend the day sitting at home. What should I do? Should I continue to talk to him and see if he eventually asks me (at the same time I will continue to talk to other guys too) or should I just mark him off as just a penpal? I really don't want to set another day aside to accomadate the possibility that he might want to go out.

Why wait for him to ask you? Ask him about a specific date, time and place.

maybe he said it in haste and realised that knowing someone online for 3 weeks is perhaps a bit too soon to meet and so has backtracked?

If you do arrange a meeting, do it at a weekend rather than wasting a work day.
