A LCD projection and a LCD pannel? My father in law mention a tv I was looking at was projection. It was thin and looked like a pannel..whats the difference?

In an LCD panel you a looking at the LCDs themselves. In an LCD projector, a lamp illuminates a small LCD panel, and an optical system projects the image on a screen. The main difference is in the size attainable. Large size panel LCDs (>35") are becoming available, but are expensive. You can get LCD projectors as large as 70"

an lcd ia a lcd there is not difference between the 2 the way the display the picture might be different
