If you are in a relationship with Rachel and you want her to know that you think she is as cute as a puppy, then call her PUP. It won't work if she equates the word pup with being a dog. You don't want to make her think you are disrespecting her, so you need to establish if she would like that idea that she's as cute as a pup! Good Luck

I think the best nicknames just happen, and they don't have to have any real correlation to the real name. My hubby's name for me has always been Babe, my nicknames for my children are Bug, Tavi, and DooDah, hubby is Crunch or JCP. NONE of these names are even close to the real ones. They all just happened and they seem to fit somehow.
