Preferrably a pocket dictionary that you can take with you. Use it when you forget a word. Just say "How do you say" and point to the word in the dictionary. Say it five times so you will remember it. Do not be too proud to admit you don't know something. If you are self-conscious of errors, you will never learn another language.
