recently i have been in and out of the hospital...twice, within the past few weeks and had been really sick. there was this guy that i was starting a relationship with. I have not talked to him since i've been home and its been about 3 days. i was going to try to contact him sometime this weekend, but again, i haven't spoken to him in about 2 weeks, which like i said, i had been in and out of the hospital. now HE is upset because i have not called him. he has no idea what i have been going thru and if i could have called him, i would have. i just want to know what right does he have to be upset in this situation? i wasn't cheating. i wasn't vacationing. i was layed up in someone's stank hospital, so whats his problem?

It sounds like he is very self centered.
The only reasons, and not even totally justifiable, would be if he he was not comfortable contacting you while you were in/out of the hospital because he was afraid that since you were just starting a relationship that it was not appropriate, that it might bother you or worried he may have to meet your family, which he might not be ready for.
If he was concerned because he was worried about you and didn't want to bother you when you were ill and were hoping you would call him when you were better might possibly be a justifiable answer, but that would still be no reason to not to at least send you a card, either by mail or e-mail expressing that.
You need to take care of yourself first and if he is worth having in your life, he will be supportive of you; if not, it is probably better off that it came out before you got into a serious relationship with him.

Look, sweetheart, if he didn't know you were sick, then he has a right to be upset. Tell him, and if he cares for you he will not be upset anymore, and will become paranoid about your health and safety. LET HIM KNOW!!! he didn't know what was going on. I would be upset too!!!
