yes, hydraulics is where you pump liquid to create force...pneumatic is air force, hydraulics are used more often in heavy duty applications...you toy airplane however is more likely powering a small air compresso with a small electric motor to power a pneumatic engine...don't know of any larger pneumatic engines that would be useful...
