i agree with you. it's almost like it's "cool" to not show your intentions. "I'm not gonna signal, i'm just going to change lanes...!"

I don't think difficulty or pride comes into it, they just don't care. People are basically quite thoughtless, and the ones that do that are a danger and a nuisance to other motorists as well as those on bikes. And then you get the ones who start signalling after they have already started turning, rendering the indicators irrelevant. Idiots.

I started biking a lot last year - it wasn't until then that I realized how clueless motorists are!!! Wear a helmet and watch out for cars all the time - take it as your responsibility to avoid the cars, cause they wont.

It's a heady brew of thoughtlessness, arrogance and ignorance. In my experience, I'd say this sort of behaviour is just as likely from women as from men.
Most irritating (and dangerous) habit of motorists is to overtake me and then immediately turn left if front of me. They couldn't wait the two seconds longer it would take them if they sat behind me until I had passed the junction, it drives me MAD!

We always had these in smaller 'country' towns. The 'city' people just don't know how to use them. Never had a problem with them, but then these are most likely the same people that don't use signals or drive in the left lanes.......

I agree totally, its one of my pet hates furthermore, what really infuriates me is when drivers (mostly female) in my experience, indicate when they are actually executing their turn

Most of them probably don't know! They haven't read the Highway Code, or, if they have, they've forgotten it!
