You are correct. And if anyone does ask such a question, they are usually insulted or ridiculed. Especially when you call into question the existence of any flavor of magic sky-pixie like god or jesus.

I will have to agree with stephie. Most of the people that respond are probably 13 years old and have no reason to take someones legitimate questions seriously. I don't do answers for points, I honestly try to help someone get the answer they want. (some moron will make fun of that statement) I have found chat rooms to be just as mundane as far as real conversation goes. They all seem to be centered around internet sex! How retarded is that? I love spiritual discussions or debates which they usually end up as, but if you are ever interested in a real conversation I am always online or you should really seek those answers from within your church not on Yahoo :) After all they DO yodel their name..

Apparently because everyone is so concerned with answering as many questions and getting as many stupid points as they can, rather than taking the time to learn something. Ask yourself though, is this really the best place to be having these conversations when the demographic is probably friends of my 15 year old sister who are more interested in which characters they can create on msn? I do not believe anything of any real spiritual significance could be imparted on here, surely a dialogue is necessary to teach such things?

Well, yeah, most people are afraid to delve right into deep spiritual conversation, especially since you can only answer once and the answerer can't really respond on here. It is better to go to a spiritual forum on another site for that kind of stuff. This is for more simple questions.

Too many like to just argue. Atheists vs Theists. Muslims vs Christians. Evolutionists vs Creationists. No one seems to sincerely want to learn anything, just tear down another faith.
I think it's because of the anonymity. We can take a potshot and run.

It's because all that's happening is people talking about spiritual issues. Spirituality in it's true form is lived out before God and others.

Because people are scared of being patronized and ostracized if they ask the wrong question. Or they're just not brave enough.
