The spirit within strives for spirituality through many avenues of life and caring relationships. Spirituality is available without religion.
Religion is a manmade set of rules that were designed to control the thinking of the adherents to their particular philosophy. Spirituality can be found in religion.

Basically none, but I'm sure you'll get lots of answers trying to put down one term or the other.
The definition of religious is:
Having or showing belief in and reverence for God or a deity.
A definition of spiritial is:
Of, from, or relating to God; deific.
Of course, people will have their own definitions too. And even the above are probably a bit constrained to define such a complex and personal term.
One difference, based on these definitions, would be that religious is how you act, and spiritual is what you are.

Religious man is bounded with religious beliefs and rules. He has no independence to think out of religious criteria. Religious man thinks and takes care more of religious values than God. Where as spiritual man is to be free and independent. He always thinks about God, the truth and eternal life. Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha and many more saints were spiritual Men.

Easy.
A religious man goes to church on Sunday, doesnt pay attention to what is being said and daydreams all day of going to play golf or to go fishing.
A spiritual man goes fishing on Sunday and spends the time thinking about life and his place on earth.

the biggest difference for me is that my spirituality is my personal faith and growth in Christ. My religion is how I practice that faith. Being one religion or another does not prove we are anything, living and believing does. The Pharisees were religious, not spiritual. Going through the motions is not what it takes, It is living, loving and sharing in God's name.

Being religious is performing acts repeatedly and without knowing the reason why. Being spiritual is performing these same acts, knowing why, and accepting it.
Christ lives!

Judge the actions of the person. To say that there is no difference is mentally lazy. There is a big difference, Religion is play a game, being faithful is living what you claim. Putting actions behind your beliefs. By your actions people will know.

religion is a set of dogma and rituals which are used to connect a person with the spiritual, sort of a guideline
a person can be spiritual without using a religion

It seems to me that religious is more of practical to the teachings, not as educated as the spiritual,
but spiritual seems both practicing and intellectual/knowledgeable and more righteous.
