I don't know, but it's upsetting to me. I'm really attracted to redheads and brunettes and to see all of this beautiful hair color bleached out makes me sick. This gentleman, for one, does NOT prefer blondes. Blondes may have more fun (bull****), but brunettes get it done.
I also feel the same about too much makeup and breast augmentation. God made us diverse for a reason, if we were all supposed to look alike Hitler would have been right...

Programming. Let's thank the 80's--the age of the highly over-rated blonde. Think Farrah Fawcett, Loretta Switt (Hotlips from MASH) and countless other hatchett-faced blondes that the world declared: beautiful. I know it's called "blonde"--which means "fair." But it always just looked like so much yellow stringy stuff to me--with a few beautiful exceptions (Loni Anderson). Adieu!

I'm a natural redhead. But I have bleached my hair blonde, I've dyed it black, brown, burgandy, etc. More often than not, I just wanted a change. I always go back to my natral color as soon as I start seeing my roots. Can't stand seeing someones roots. If you can't keep the color up. Dont even start.

Ok well I totally agree with you when women die their hair blond they want to feel pretty and young and hot but truth be told I think if you are not a natrual blond then don't do this kind of stuff to your hair but to anwser your question they do this because it makes them feel good and nice. That's their desicion to do crap to their hair

I'm a brunette and I love it! I used to hate my hair but then I realized I have so many shades of reds, browns, and even a tiny black in my hair that my hair shimmers in the sunlight. Try getting that out of a box!

i just think they want to try and see if it makes them look better.. i prefer blonde myself... my grandkids think i look better with blonde hair but my hair now is darker and i do not want to go get it bleached cause it does so much damage to the hair.. but men like blondes .. but i agree their is some pretty brunettes...and i think sometimes a person just needs a change.. tired of looking at their own self....so they try to improve... not always accomplished though....i have photos on yahoo 360.. you tell me..

Good question. It largely depends on how they were raised. May girls grow up with this barbie vision in their heads, with their dads watching typical television with only blonde babes on it. Also, disgustingly, the porn industry has a huge amount to do with that. Which is horrible.

it is a known fact that certain men notice women with lighter hair colors but i think it only works with natural hair.... who knows what the motive for these women is but i think they should realize it doesn't work for them
