Unfortunately, most don't! Driving is a privilege granted to you by your state. States don't protect their citizens with driver licenses appropriately and the federal government needs to step in. As memory loss, senility, motor skills, and vision can become an issue at any age, visual acuity is the only skill regularly checked during a license renewal. Every 5 years, all of these need to be checked with a road driving test. Once your score falls below a pre-determined level, you should be tested every 2 years. Once skills fall to a 'failing' level, your license indefinitely revoked. Who should pay for this, we should of course... an extra $30 every 5 years should cover it. A small price for increased safety.

There is no set age. If your eyesight or your health fails in a way that interferes with your driving ability, then that would be the deciding factor, not age.

when your vision and reflexes are no longer good enough. You have to pass a vision test to get the license renewed when you get old. My grandfather drove until he was over 90 years old (didn't drive slow either haha)
