I guess that is a question that the two people who are involved must answer..
If you think that you can live with the quirks of the other person and can love them unconditionally, then you can pop the question..
Remember, marriage is usually a life long commitment.. If you think that you are ready for that then you're set..
With regard to the time limit, there is none.. Time is a variable that is solely dependent on the two individuals.. It's a mutual decision.. Think over what getting married would mean to both of you..
Compromises will have to be made for marital life to be successful.. By the way, you'll have a gut feeling when you're ready..

Well, I love my boyfriend as he loves me and we've been together about a year and a half. I'm actually moving closer to him when my lease runs up (we live on opposite ends of town) because I'm not ready to move in to his house, and I don't think he's ready yet either, so that's great we're on the same page. I don't think it's time for us to discuss anything more until after I get into the new place for a while and we see how things go when we can see each other more. After that, then I will consider my feelings toward marriage.

That really depends on the couple. There is no set amount of time that you should or shouldn't wait. Just make sure you love her and she loves you, then all things are good. MY mom only knew my step-dad 5 months before they got married. They have been together 7 years so far and are still really happy. But my parents dated all through highschool and then got married right after graduation and they had a few kids and got divorced. My point is this... If you love her go for it.... Follow your heart.

You need to observe a few things, because falling in love is one thing, loving is another thing. Do you guys get along well? Do you agree on major issues, such as who does what in the relationship? Are you able to live with his/her bad habits? Who will be the head of household? Naturally, we all assume it is the man, but there are couples out there who agreed on it being the other way because she made more money than he. There are a lot of things to be considered before getting married, and I think the best way to find out is by living together first....Good Luck

You shouldn't be with someone that you wouldn't consider marrying. That would be a waste of your time. Actually popping the question should take time only because people change. Initially, we all go out of our way to impress the other, so give it time to see the true goofy, scary, crazy, silly, wierd wonderful person that they really are! Best of luck to you.

Depends on the situation I guess. The age of the people involved and even their career... their goals in life.

It could be anywhere from 3 months to 33 yrs depending on the couple. ;)

That depends on the person. some people wait years and some only months. me however being divorced and waited 10 years to marry the guy would not suggest waiting years!!!if it feels right do it!

At least a year... it takes awhile to get to really know someone, and if you plan on making a marriage work you had better know the person pretty well...
