You just answered your own question, you said why do people see a certain hair style and copy it thinking it looks good on them when it doesn't?
they copy other people's hair styles because the were thinking it looks good on them when it doesn't.

because they think that they can get their hair like that in the picture or what someone else style is like... but it is hard to do.. i believe you have to train your hair for one thing to do what you want it to do...i have been to beauty shops and they cannot get it to really look like what is in the picture.. and another thing only because a picture looks good or a certain hairstyle looks good on one person does not mean it is going to look good on us.. we have different facial features and we are all different.....so they try and then they find out different...

they would probably see them on a celebrity thinking they would look as good as the celebrity does. or probably they just want to walk in the streets all crazy and looking dumb, they may have mental disorders ;)

they see it on some one else and then they just wanna try it and they dont realize they dont have the same features like the other person. they just wanna look good like the one person. thts why.
