I am planning on having a tattoo and wondered if there were any superstitions on which way it faced.

Any help much appreciated

It really would depend on which culture's dragons you are hoping to portray. The Eastern dragon is drastically different in both form and purpose than the Western versions. Most of the Chinese dragons were considered essentially benign, while the Western dragons of the middle ages were considered harbingers of destruction.

I never heard of any superstitions about which way a dragon must face.

My fiance has a dragon on his back and it faces west, he doesn't appear to have bad luck or ailments, so think you'll be ok!

please do not get a tatoo, as it is a form of branding, of changing your temple for something other than what it was intended to be.

all Dragons when worked throught the images of mans hands have always faced the olive tree.

It doesn't matter where they face cuz....um.... if you turn around it will face the opposite direction....
