He knew he would be betrayed, it was a matter of timing.

You should read the Bible. If nothing else the firs four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Jesus himself never hid from anyone at any time. He was out in the open at the Garden of Gesthemane on the Mount of Olives. That is where he drank from the cup that held all man's sins. He asked the Father three times to take it from him, then said 'Your will be done, not Mine'. Jesus knew exactly what was going to happen to him and there was no way to avoid it. The Father had asked him to do it.

Judas was at the Passover with Jesus and the other 11 disciples. When it became clear which would betray him, Jesus told him to hurry and be done with it. (John 13:27 - And after the morsel then Satan entered into the latter. Jesus, therefore, said to him: “What you are doing get done more quickly.”) So he wasn't hiding. It was necessary first to celebrate the Passover with the disciples.

You have incorrect "facts". Jesus was not hiding, he was praying. And after he prayed, he woke up his disciples and told them that he which would betray him was at hand. And went to meet them which came in the night to arrest him. He did not run, nor did he hide.

He wants to die at the correct time, because if he didn't die at the right time he probably wouldn't have met the theives on the cross and Pilate.
