No. If a non Christian uses the Bible for anything it is not a sin. How can it be a sin if the person is not a part of the belief system that deems it a sin or not a sin?
You can't sin if you don't believe that the actions are not sins. But if you break a law that is punishable, you can be punished even if you still think it is not a sin.
So maybe smoking marijuana is not a sin but if you do it and get caught you get punished in the US I guess. We don't in Canada. In Canada we can smoke dope and have 15 grams on us and it is not a criminla offense.
Gay people can get married here too. And we can download all the stuff we want.
We have medicare.
And nobody cares if you are an atheist or a Christian here. Well that is not true -we have lots of freaks too.

There is nothing in the Bible that disproves Christianity or makes it illogical.
How would it be a sin and there is no embarrassment because the Bible is fact.
Hey Dar, if you question everything, why does it seem you are only fixated on Christianity? Maybe someone is talking to you more than you will ever admit. Explore everything right? Just wondering????

One time I had a friend do this. It was in 2000 and we were talking about the election. She was arguing that Bush was great. I said why. She said he doesn't believe in the right to let homosexual people get married. Then she said...It says in the bible that is wrong. Okay the girl was standing there with a cigarette in one hand a beer in the other. She has never read the bible a day in her life...she doesn't attend church. So I told her that when she started living like aFollower or God then she could use the Bible as reference. I think that is wrong for these people who have no idea what the Bible says and live like they wanna live to use the Bible as their excuse everytime a issue comes up that is contraversial and they don't like.

Absolutely not. Youre not thinking clearly on this point Jim_Darwin....
See, you cannot embarass a Christian using the Bible to prove they are wrong, because they have an innate ability to use circular logic in order to get around any point you make. Does God exist? "Yes" they reply. Why? "It is written in the Bible!" they reply. Who wrote the Bible? "God did!" they exclaim. This is proof positive that God exists....cuz he wrote a book. Then, try to explain that the book was written by men "Well, yes, it was, but it was done so through God - God told these men what to write!" So, you show them that God must have forgot alot of things he was saying, because of the glaring inconsistencies, and as a response, you are told that "Oh see in those days this mean that, and that meant this. So really, it means this." But what about in this passsage?? "Oh, in that passage it means this!"
HOW F*CKING CONVENIENT! Total circular logic. There is no way to embarass someone who cannot see the errror in thier own thinking methods.

The people who say the Bible contradicts it self don't understand the Bible, and you can not use it to prove it's illogical to a knowledgeable true Christian.

First of all, any true christian is aware of the fact they do not know everything and are willing to listen and learn. Second, if a non-christian is using the bible; I'd like to know why and if they don't believe in christianity why would they worry if it is a sin or not. There is not and never has been anything logical about the workings of our God and creator, but I love Him and my faith is strong. Logical or not, He has given us all choices and love, He is enough for me.

I am Christian, I go to church, but the bible is illogical. I believe in god, and there are good messages and guidelines in the bible, but there are too many fallacies and inconsistencies in it for me to truly believe that this book is truly gods' word. If it is, for him being truly almighty and infallible, he must have attended public school.
I drive my pastor nuts because I ask questions that he can't answer. It's fun to be religiously annoying- and he can't say much about it because I AM reading the blasted book.

I agree total-heartedly! a similar aspect surpassed off after it became shown that the daylight became in reality the middle of the picture voltaic device. previous to that, the concept became considered blasphemy and those that researched the idea were arrested or maybe executed by the church. Now, the church has managed to "reinterpret" verses to consider a heliocentric sort of the picture voltaic device. regrettably, evolution is a puzzling aspect for example on a human time scale. They already ignore about a lot irrefutable info that helps evolutionary theory with the intention to proceed on with their lack of comprehend-how, I form of ask your self what would persuade them.

By definition, it could not be sinful unless that person's framework admitted sin as a concept. In that case, it would be contingent upon the framework. Is it embarrassing? I doubt it.

Technically the Bible can not be used to disprove itself unless the person who is listening to the person who is using the Bible to disprove itself doesn't know enough to reply knowlegeably.
