Less than that...
First off, totally great question.
Great, because obviously it pushes people's buttons and hopefully will cause people to investigate the paradoxical nature of God.
I've got to respond to the people who got offended by this question: Come on guys... Grow up!
Jesus was known to ask questions like this in order to push people out of their comfort zone. Why? Specifically to bring to the surface the sickness of those steeped in their religious vanity.
Jesus models love in sacrifice, identifying with the least, and going where the need is the greatest. Sadly, today's church isn't following the same model and instead they choose to distance themselves and malign the very ones He loves -- the pimps, prostitutes, homosexuals, and whomever has today's easy church target painted on their chest.
As for Jesus partying:
Jesus said of himself in a story "[I] came eating and drinking, and they [this generation] say 'Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!' Matt11:16-19
He enjoyed eating, He enjoyed drinking, Come on, he made the water into wine.
Does Jesus enjoy partying? Answer: Absolutely!
Was Jesus a dirty hippy? Answer: Less than that.
He (emptied himself) made himself (nothing) of no reputation... and humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. (Phil 2:7)
My question:
If Jesus makes himself less than a so-called "dirty hippy", what should that make us?

If Jesus were living on earth today, most people would judge Him to be a homeless man or a hippy. He was misunderstood while He lived, so what would be different about today? And ro answer your question, no....He was not a hippy. He was a carpenter by trade and did most of His preaching later in His life.

Jesus Christ is holy and clean. He went about doing good. So I ask you, what is a "dirty hippy" and "what are you?" Are you holy and clean? Do you go about doing good? Did you lay down your life for your friends? And what preaching now have you done with your questions? for in a question is a statement. If the statement is not true, the question is evil.

I really hope that one day you learn the truth. Jesus was raised by a carpenter and learned the trade. At age 30 he began teaching and preaching about the kingdom of heaven. We do not know if he had long hair or not but does that really matter. And where did you get an idea that he was a partier. You flabbergast me!

How come you know he had long hair, No one else seems to know what He looks like. Where in the Bible does it say that He liked to party? If you dont think He was sent by God, then why even ask?
