It may just be a phase...are you spending more time away from home than usual?

My dog used to do the same thing. Just started spending more time playing and the behavior went away.

I had the same problem with my oldest cat and now my youngest. My oldest kept getting more and more "needy" until now, I can't do anything without him underfoot. Unfortunately, this has been going on for 3 years now and shows no sign of stopping.

The only thing that's helped, is that when I don't want to be bothered, I tell them no and push them aside. They go away for a bit and come back later.
The sleeping thing was the issue for me. My oldest would get right in my face while I was sleeping also. All I do now is tell him no, push him away from my face and he'll curl up on the other side of the bed. Not on top of me.

Be persistant, but pay attention to him more when you can. All he really wants is your constant attention, but sometimes, too much is too much...

They seem to get more and more in need of attention as they get older, I had a cat that would not come near me growing up, and would scratch and hiss if I came near her. as see (and I) got older see would always be right there, not anyone else just me.
I think the more attention the get the more they want. Kinda like guys.

soooo...model and no bf????

Wow, sounds like a real problem. Is the cat getting old? Have you checked with your vet to see if he/she may have an answer? Sorry, I just don't know and I'm a cat person too. Good Luck.

He just wants your focus for now. He is affectionate and needs attention. Brush him a little more often, play with him, give him some catnip! Talk to him too. It will calm him down.

Sometimes when tom cats get fixed they become overly affectionate and this can become a grandual thing. Cat's can be trained with a squirt bottle. Every time he does something bold squirt him with water and say "No".

You're the mommy and he's bored. I would suggest getting him neutred and get a neutered female kitten to keep him company. She should be younger, have a good personality and be socialized to other cats.

He may feel lonely or insecure. Something may have happened between him and the dog. Get him some special treats . This could help.

your cat is a brat. that is cute. enjoy him for his personality. you could loose him in the blink of an eye, and then you'll miss all the annoying characteristics he had. I don't enjoy tripping on my cat either. Could you get another cat, perhaps a playmate for max.

It could be that 'he' is just lonely for you. If he were upset with you, he would be doing things you don't like...like missing the litter box.
How are YOU? Maybe he is sensing in you something that is wrong & needs comforting.
