War where all nations were involved That would be ww1 & ww2
That was the beginning of pangs of distress.
Then earthquakes, pestilences, starvation until finally all the governments turn on religion. Fostered by the UN peace keepers
Hoping to stop the fighting. When that happens Revelation says
Then God turns on the governments and destroys the wicked and saves the righteous into a paradise earth. Meek will inherit the earth.
