Why do you have to be such a jerk?

When a person asks a question it is because they don't have the answer, or the answer may be hard to find in a search engine because it is vague or hard to put into words that don't retrieve 5million matches.
Or possibly the person may be looking for an opinion based on others life experiences or ideas. I'll admit some of the questions are downright stupid, but I play the better person and don't click on the link.......or respond.
No instead you have to be mean and rude, hide behind the screen and show no social skills. You don't call people a retard when they are looking for help. That just teaches people not to ask anyone else for advice and make stupid mistakes we all have to fix. Think of a persons reaction when you say such jerk-ish things.

Now this is a quality question, well written, and has a good message. If you don't have anything nice to say, be quite. "The only dumb question is the one that wasn't asked."

You hit the nail right on the head...I can even count how many times I have asked a question and someone responds in a rude manner. I think Yahoo Answers should have a way for the asker to respond to the answers that they recieve but then again that would just lead to back and forth bickering.....Look at it this way, its the internet and people will say and do anything because they know that they will proabably never see the other person in real life. People who respond this way are proabbly kids in the 13-16 range who have down syndrome and are reduced to a wheel chair.....

Ask a Stupid Question Day is a holiday that is sometimes celebrated in the United States, usually by school students and teachers. Although Ask a Stupid Question Day takes place on September 28, it is usually observed on the last school day of September.

Just filter though the bad ones, there's usually good answers out there, too.

Sounds like someone really upset you. I'm sorry that they hurt your feelings. Don't let the few jerks out there discourage you. There are more of us that are willing to help out and be serious and be a friend! Keep asking whatever you feel you need. We are there for you!

i agree with you. i was answering a quetion one day and was reading other responses and had seen the rudest comments on a very serious question.
