someone explain this to me. What do these people believe? And everything else. I'm just curious about this "religion". Oh and if anyone is a scientoligist, what do you feel about Tom Cruise, his actions, and how he's become your unoffical spokesperson for the world.

Scientologists are the weirdest f**kers that you'll ever meet in your life. Its a made up religion that some dude from Cali manufactured in either the 1950s or the 1970s. I'm thinking 50s. In any event, the reason that all of the celebrities like it is because you dont have to do anything but pay money. If youre that worried about your soul, you'd be better off worshipping the guy on the Quaker Oats box.

Scientology was founded by L. Ron Hubbard, a man who has been called one of the worst science fiction writers of all time.

They believe that all humans are actually reincarnated aliens who were enslaved on another planet, and that all human suffering is caused by the repression of these memories and trauma. By helping to achieve total recall, basically full and complete memorys of both this life and the past life as an alien, healing can take place and the person can be opened up to a whole new range of possibilities, including special powers and realization of their purpose on this planet.

I wish I were joking but I'm not.

The Church of Scientology has a website but I'll be damned if I remember what it is. But they are a cult. I only know what I know cause I know people who left the Church. They are highly secretive, paranoid, and there's a reason why they are against psychology...

I actually looked into it when a good friend of mine was being sucked into the whole thing when it first became popular. They have adpapted many of the basic psychology techniques to form much of their 'policies'. Much of their preachings are about how you treat others and how to use your mind more effectively. It isn't a bad concept in all, but where the scam comes into play is that they have many books they try to sell you and they will also ask an individual to quit whatever job they currently have and work for them as a volunteer with a 'buy in' to become part of their staff. I'm not too sure how they sucker people into this with them not paying them a dime, but they manage it somehow. I lost my good friend to them many years back and have no idea where he is at now.
My advice to anyone interested in this 'religion' is to take what you can from them for free and then walk away. They do have some good information consolidated into many volumes of their books, but one could just as easily gather that information on their own rather than be sucked into a scam like that.

It's all a weird cult and a ploy to make its founder, Ron Hubbard, obsenely rich.
I'm not sure of what they believe in, exactly, but I heard it has something to do with "self-healing", something called "dianetics" and aliens. It's all a great load of hockey!

There have been rumours of pretty weird stuff going on in that "religion", from people being forced to give up all their properties and possesions to the "church of scientology", to hypnosis, weird rituals, torture and people being held captive and not allowed to leave.

Well, I heard on the talk radio--this guy that was a researcher for years on this ---said that there were different levels and you had to pay to get up to the various levels and that each was still very secretive and you come to find out if you pay enough, that they are really worshiping some sort of aliens--true--that is what he said. Wild huh?? :)

they believe in spacemen, no im not kidding.
they are considered a cult.
Their belief is that millions of years ago some space overlord was trapped on earth and sequestered millions of alien souls.
these became thatans... and they stick to you causing you something similar to bad karma. the only way to get rid of the karma is to use a lie detector with an auditor.... sort of like confessing your sins... the diffrence is they extort you... since every confession costs 2000 and up and you have to buy your own lie detector from them.... they also extort you on many other levels... they use cruise as one of their main publicity tools, although he is not as high up as travolta who is OT9 i believe.
my advice.... stay the hell away from them.

another brand to mislead the folks in the name of religion, which is superscience and can be experienced in the inner lab. means in ur very heart which is the source of every truth/knowledge,religion is to explore urself, whish is possible only thru meditation,so be cautious of such propagators.
