I think that the directions supplied on Mapquest are for people already familiar with the area being traveled. The directions definitely aren't good for those that are going some place for the first time.

God, do they ever. I prefer Rand McNally or Yahoo maps, but even those can be a bit askew. The best thing to do is to print out the maps and figure out your own route in some cases.

Most of the time I find mapquest to be good but I always double check them.
