It seems like everything is going wrong...no matter what I do!
Everytime I achieve something or something good happens, a million other bad things happen.

Like, for ex., I got accepted to my first choice college & they gave me a financial aid package of about $41,000 (which means that I only have to pay about $2,000 per year)...however, I just received my first semester bill (about $1,000) & I do not have the money...

I mean, I did get a couple of scholarships but had to use the money (voluntarily) to help out my dad because he was unnemployed at the time...
Also, I do have a job but won't be able to make that amount of money in such short-notice...

I only have a few weeks to pay the bill or else my fall schedule will be cancelled...:(

& to make things worse, everything else seems to be falling apart on me...I'm really stressed out & about to give up...I need some motivation in order to keep going, plz :(

It seems to me that you've probably got much deeper problems than just financial issues. I'd strongly suggest talking to trained counselors or psychologists who can help you sort through your feelings and can help you get back on your feet. Check out the links below for crisis-hotline numbers and a little bit about my own struggle. I hope it will encourage you. E-mail me at chad@jesusfreak.com if I can help in any way. I will be praying for you.

there is no reason that u should take ur own life over something like that. U need 2 just step back and take a deep breath and let that idea fly right out of the window. I know that everything can't go right all of the time, and u are going 2 have some ups and downs. i have been down that rode. i thought about killing myself a few times also. My best friend died, i lost my girlfriend, i lost my job, i lost my lil cousin, i was broke and didn't know what 2 do. just think that if u take ur life, how much stress that u are going 2 put on the people that love u. u said that ur dad was out of a job, then there was nothing that u could do but help him. im pretty sure that he would have done the same 4 u. so don't let that cross ur mind and keep ur head up. if u are going 2 college, everything will work out in the end. if u need someone 2 talk 2, u can get in contact with me.

Think about the impact of loosing you will have to your Dad. You care alot about him, why wouldn't he care back? And it is a rare thing to have a REAL friend. Be glad you don't have fake friends. There are deferrment programs available at most colleges. Take in your bills to the student union and see what they can do for you. Showing that you are working, they may give you a payment plan. Talk to some community resources. If your father needs help - get him outside help, like with housing or utilities so this won't happen again. There are community help facilities, from Township trustees, to even getting a student loan to help with the financial problems. (Just don't use that money on your father. Sounds harsh, but he is a grown up too. If it is medical problems, he can find help for that specific purpose.)

You are welcome to email me anytime you just need to vent jennbrehob@yahoo.com. Besides, you have one friend who won't leave you...read Psalm 139. go to www.blueletterbible.org if you don't have a Bible at home.

I have learned this from REAL people who have REALLY tried to commit suicide and died, even for a few minutes, and then lived. This is called the "Near Death Experience". Everyone of them said that for the moments that they were dead, nothing had changed. All there problems had followed them to the other side. And the painful part was that, they could no longer die and escape it all. They were stuck with those problems forever if they had not been given a second chance.

Remember that life here is temporary, and that nothing, not even your problems, no matter how big or countless they may be. The best thing to do is pray and pray and get help from family that your problem will be solved. God can do many many miracle if you believe in him. Trust me, I almost died once, but he was there for me, together with those who had almost died with me. We all lived to see today, and I lived to type you my answer. Ask him for help, and he will always stand by you.

Suicide is like a permanent life on earth, and based on what you just said to me, that doesn't seem to be what you want, does it?

I know things may seem bad but trust me it will all work out. I know that may be hard to believe from someone you don't know but it's true. I've had times in my life where everything went wrong but in the end it worked out for the best. The # 1 best thing I can say to do it pray. God loves you and is there for you. Second, I know you don't want you fall schedule to get cancelled but if it does that may be a good time to work as much as you can to save for the next semester. You are obviously a good person by helping out you dad. And at some point in time it will all come back to you. Just have faith in God and in yourself. Hey if you need to talk you can contact me. God Bless.

Suicide is never the answer to any problem yes you are stress out but just hang in there and it will soon level out. College is hard for anyone but try and make some kind of payment plans and pay so much a month that may help you to keep you on the right track with your studies.
talk with the college financial aid officer and i am sure he can help you.
good luck gal

Have you considered student loans? I think you can get them prior to entering college.

I get what you're saying about things going wrong, no matter how hard you try or how life is good in other aspects.

There are MANY outlets to help you! You need to get into some counseling or a support group. They can give you the tools you need to be happier, see the positive side and how to move on, despite painful situations.

I think since you are asking for help, that you realize suicide is NOT a good choice for you. You are definitely stepping in the right direction. But, you'll need to get your strong advice from the professionals who know what they are dealing with.

We, here at answers, are typical people and although we care about you, we can't begin to give you what you need.

You actually sound like a very "chipper" person with a nice personality. : )

PLEASE, get some help. Good Luck and I hope my answer helps you in some small way. Let me know how you're doing!

That's all you have to go on? I've been through much worse- so far my student loan balance is up to 11 grand, I pay close to 700 a month with rent, utilities, another 400 a month for the car, 1400 a year for car insurance, additional to credit cards I've been trying to pay off forever in addition to a bout with skin cancer last year. Never once has suicide crossed my mind. If you're worried about the money now...what do you think it's going to cost your family to take care of all your funeral arrangements??? Girl, this is no reason to kill yourself, you just need to go find yourself a counselor to talk to (perhaps a financial counselor as well).

You got into a good school, so you will make lots of money when you get out. Imagine how funny it will be to look back and think you actually were suicidal over 1,000 dollars when you earn that much in 2-3 days. Go to the registrars office, they will usually work with you on payments. If not, hold a bake sale, talk to your church, talk to your grandparents, or stand out by the road in a bikini with a sign saying, "Please help me pay for school." The point is there is money around, go get it.
Good luck, God loves you.

What about one of those pay advance places? I don't really know how they work, but maybe that can help you get money quick. It's definitely not worth ending your life over these stresses. Absolute worst case scenario: you don't start college until the next semester. They'll still probably give you the same scholarships. Find someone to talk to, or email me. caitlinerika@yahoo.com
