Do they have the .tmp extension or .htm or .gif .jpg... if any of these you can delete... although you should be able to clear them all... but there's no telling what is being put there, or where they are coming from

The first time I went into temp files, I found more than 700 temp files. Several of these files had a .dll extension. I talked to an IT specialist, and he said to be on the safe side not to delete .dll files from here. But go ahead and delete the others.

Windows has a reputation for keeping tract of everything. Remember those times programs do not respond, and you have to go into the task manager and manually stop a running program; then you get a box asking you if you want to send or don't send a report? I found 13 such reports sitting in temp files, the smallest of which was over 1MB.

you should 'clean' your settings every time on the net or every week. if you go to tools on your internet browser and then internet options click on that. find 'temporay internet files' under general. then click delete cookie while holding down shift, do the same with the delete files buttons while holding shift. it will say delete offline TICK THIS BOX as well! that should clean out ALL those files.

if not go to your start menu then go to accessories, then system tools then find disk cleanup. select that and it will see what it can do to help your hard drive make sure you select/untick boxes incase you need anything else keeping when it gives you the option, so you don't delete anything you need etc!

you should then click on to defragment the hard drive this will tidy up and clean the rest and organise it nice and neatly to run faster! do this overnight or while you not using the computer can take 2+ hours sometimes if you've never doen it before.

and that should sort your computer out! have fun!

this can all be deleted. a lot of this is used as an internet cache storage. it can get very large very fast if you don't ever empty it and go online a lot. in fact if you start looking throught some of the picutres you will see some of the pictures from some of the sights that you have visited.
