Ummm... you don't need a bf... live your life to the fullest and don't dwell on stuff like this!!! I can tell you are young... you have a lot of life to live!!! Please live it without thinking this way!!!

Like what J:L:L said, don't dwell on this. Learn to love yourself and respect who you are, respect your body, and love what you do. I don't know your approx. age, but it seems that you're quite young still. In this world, there is always a person for you, but be patient and do what you do. Focus on your hobbies, likes and pursue that. To tell the truth, boys will only complicate things and if you don't want to be suppressed or controlled, then I suggest that you stop looking for boys and start looking forward into your future career.
For example, I have a friend who graduated just this last year from college. She's been single most of her life except for some boyfriends in highschool that treated her like trash... but that's beyond the point. Anyways, after highschool's bad-boy experiences that she's had she focused on college and her future career. She's working at a womens community shelter now in one of those offices. She isn't the most prettiest pea in the pod, but she's got a killer personallity. When this guy first asked her out, she told me that she was worried about the way that she looked... I told her that if this guy was worried about how she looked, then why would he asked her out... they're doing good now and she told me the other day that she asked him, "Erin, why do you love me? I'm not as pretty as those other girls.." He told her that, "Even though looks play a part, he didn't want to spend his life with a girl that he couldn't get along with." And that to him, her personality is beautiful that shines through more than her looks.
See? There is someone out there for you Laura, don't rush it and enjoy life. Love what you do and focus on what you love to do in life. That special someone will walk into your life and love you for you. Because if you base everything off looks, 5-10 years down the road, you have a few kids or you get into an accident and you're not as "pretty" as you used to be, the guy may just leave you. So take your time and find the guy that loves you for you... not for your looks. Hope this helped.

Girlie...I had the same prob. I was confused and I had no idea what to do. So I just waited...because well,I didn't know what to do...lol! But then last year...I found out that 3 guyz liked me and they all asked me out....and so I was like oooo crap!!! So unfortunaltely..those guys weren't the right ones for me. So all I can say is that everyone is beautiful! No matter what anyone says. And if you don't think you are beautiful then for you life is just gonna suck!! Trust me! Also just me patient and the right guy will come or if u want...you can come to them!!!

Tell myself that it's not true..and that believe it or not there is someone out there for me ;)...sooner or later i'll find him and make him mine mwahhhahah! :p lol..so i try to look my best everytime i go out becauz you neva know when he might show up...you should feel the same.

i think u can make urself pretty by using make ups or visiting the beauty therapist.

ummm..............Just try getting prettier and if that dont work just forget it some guys dont care about looks sometimes its more then looks but if you dont have those things or looks then they just ignore you!!!!!!!!!! Sorry if i wasnt such good help maybe next time though!! lol
