There is no doubt that Jesus and God are our Superior Beings. Too bad for those who don't believe, because the world is for the believers. In every society there is a god (or gods) of some sort. I personally believe in The Lord God Almighty and his son, Jesus Christ.

Christianity is the popular religion in America... it is common to hear them using the name Jesus when upset.... seeing as Christians outnumber us Non's in America... where do you think that "swearing" started? LOL If Islam were the more popular religion and had been for a couple of hundred years, I'm sure we would be swearing by using Allah, instead of Jesus... Of if this had been a Buddhist nation (is there even such a thing??? they aren't even considered a religion, but a philosophy)... I'm sure we would be using Buddah, instead of Jesus. (BTW< no one claims Buddah died for anyone... Buddah is a title that means Enlightened one... anyone can gain this title... It wasn't just one man, but many that used the title)

Using his name doesn't make him the son of god. A guy up the street is names Jesus, too.
It's a cultural language choice - it doesn't have to be motivated by a belief. When you say "Bless You", do you believe that you really are preventing evil spirits from inhabiting the sneezers body? Or is it just something you learned socially?

Because most of the believers here are Christian. If we are speaking about Christianity, it's normal that we'd speak about Jesus. As far as I know, he's a pretty significant part of the Christian religion.

Are you one of the people who seem to think non-believers shouldn't be allowed to use money because it says "In god we trust"? A word is a word, and no one can dictate what words another person uses.

Practically everybody I know uses his name in vain, like "Jesus Christ!" or "Oh Jesus" or others like "Oh God", "Goddammit!", etc. So you know, monkey see, monkey do, and then you get used to saying it. It's just using words you learn socially.
