Men like it when a girl they like embarasses herself because she becomes more "real" to him, and he doesn't have to worry as much about embarassing himself around her. Which in turn makes him more comfortable around her, and in general.
This is generally why people laugh when someone, especially someone the person knows falls down, or otherwise exhibits clumsy behaviour.

I remember being a teenager and when someone I was crushing did or said something embarrasing in front of me or a group of people, I would feel embarrased for liking him, and it would take my crush factor down a notch. Only for that moment though. It's weird how your mind and emotions work.

I don't think that anyone likes it when a female embarasses themselves especially if they like that person.

I think it depends, but when I'm a klutz or a ditz and I laugh about it afterward, guys seem to find it cute/endearing.

Because it makes the girl seem more down to earth, and makes them think that they might have a better chance with her.

if the girl doesn't do it on purpose and can laugh about it, then its cute. It shows that she's not perfect, which isn't a bad thing.

I can't deny it, it's cute when they do...not on purpoes. I think it's more I like someone who can laugh at themselves when the time calls for it:) I know I can!
