I believe that we are each destined for great things, however will only be capable of obtaining those great things once we understand our true purpose, and each persons true purpose is unique unto themselves.
Once you know what it is which you are truly good at, and enjoy in life, then you should pursue that purpose diligently regardless of monetary gain, and whom ever it is whom you meet which has with in there ability to be not only your best friend, but also has your best interests in mind, and wishes to help you obtain your goals, and not to obstruct you along life's way, then I would say that you have found the person whom you were destined to be with, but only if you are also capable of reciprocating in like kind.
So the answer to your question is yes, as with consideration given to the human state of life, I must say that it is better to go through life with out feeling the great sense of agonizing pain of loneliness
However if I myself had to choose between loneliness forever or being with a person whom I were not destined then I would choose loneliness.
Our choices are different for every person, and just as independent as our opinions.

No, I believe that our destiny is what we make it. Even though it's possible to fall in love with someone and stay in that one "true love" all your life, it takes choices to stay on the parts of those individuals throughout their relationship, because we all change and grow as we live our lives.
So as we change and grow, the person that is the best for you this year might not really be that healthy for you next year. Or maybe that person that looks like your perfect match this year isn't really what you think. These things have a way of working themselves out, life teaches us just what we need to learn, and can provide just the right person for us at the right time. It's up to us to pay attention, and to know ourselves. That way we can recognize what people could really be good for us, and which ones would not -- and we can get out if a relationship with someone wonderful turns into something unhealthy despite our best efforts to treat each other with respect.

I do, my boyfriend is definitely the one that was meant for me, and he feels the same way about me! In your life you meet people that are great and your type but you always seem to find something wrong with them! When you find the person that you are meant to be with you are completely happy and can't find anything wrong with them!

To an extent. Everyone has their "perfect" match or "soulmate" out there. But it's not just limited to one person. You can easily find a "soulmate" in a million people out there. It just depends on when and if you find them.
