I have my color photograph in jpg format. But I want to convert it into a Black & White (B&W) photograph.
Is there a FREE software to do so?

Thanks!

Old versions of Microsoft Paint could do that; poke around and see if you see a 'Grayscale' option anywhere. If not, I'm pretty sure Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, etc.) can, though you can't resave it as a .jpg - but you can print it and look at it if that's what you're looking for. Otherwise, I think you'll need Photoshop or something.

There is a way to resave it in Word/PowerPoint if you can get it to convert to grayscale, but it's a bit unorthodox - take a screenshot, paste it into paint and save.

you are able to the two bypass to image drop down menu, variations, Vibrance or bypass to Hue/Saturation, or p.c.. the two of those as a layer mask. Whichever one you p.c.. decrease the saturation and you have a black and white image. the final way in spite of the fact it somewhat is thru some filters alongside with Silver EFX via Nik utility. they provide you greater thoughts to do categories of black and white photos.
