The Pentecostal church began after Jesus Christ rose from the dead and later appeared unto his disciples, where he talked to them for a while consoling them and telling them where I go there you can be also....and when he departed he left them a helper called the (HOLY GHOST) to be their comforter. It was to reside in them thus taking His place here on this earth. Later in the upper room the (HOLY GHOST) fell on thousands of people as they were filled with the (HOLY GHOST) thus giving them their prayer language, speaking in other tongues. You can find this in the first four Gospels of the New Testament, of the Holy Bible. It is written in the last couple of chapters before they crucified Christ as He died for OUR sins as He was sinless, like a new-born baby. He bore our pain and suffering so we wouldn't have to. All we have to do is except Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior and He comes to live in our heart by way of the (HOLY GHOST). Salvation is a gift from God and accepting Him into our hearts and asking Him to forgive us of our sins is the only way we can live eternally with Him. We don't need to be perfect to come to Him. Rather, He cleanses us from all our unrightousness and we become His Rightousness when we ask Him to come live within our hearts, (which is our spirit). That then goes to be with Him when we die. It is so wonderful when we do because that takes the pressure of being perfect off of us and allows Him to mold us and make us into the kind of a person that would draw others to Himself. Heaven is a glorious place and He has gone to prepare a place for those who are in Him. The Word of God says Hell is a place to shun because it is such a horrific place that a person literally will burn all throughout eternity, and actually be able to see our loved ones in Heaven with Him and what we missed. He will erase the ones in our lives who didn't make it because that would cause us unhappiness and there is nothing up there but blessing after blessing after blessing!! Just remember these words taken from scripture.............(JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. NO MAN CAN GO UNTO THE FATHER GOD BUT THRU HIM. HE IS OUR ADVOCATE, HELPER, AND BROTHER, AND IS PRESENT WHEREVER WE GO EVEN UNTO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH)!!!!

The new covenant was created the night before Jesus's death with 11 faithful ones and I cannot find anything that said it was Catholic :-)
