please state the reason why ?as im rarther curious as i thought women prefered shy guys cos it gives them a challenge and maybe a bit more confident in them sleves.

Shy women are approached by men why shy men are not approached in general by women. It is the males role to make first contact and if you are shy the male will ot make first contact.

The answer is that different women find different men attractive. Some women like a quiet guy and enjoy the challenge, but then some women find a shy guy too much work and aren't interested in taking the time to draw him out.
I personally like a guy that is slightly shy, but not painfully shy or introverted. I like a guy with some confidence, but not necessarily cocky.

Shy guys are a turn off. Let's look to nature, shall we? Birds are a good example. Female birds are attracted to the male bird that is putting on the best display, not the bird sitting quietly over in the corner. I'm not saying be obnoxious, but women definatley like to see men try for their attentions. Shyness comes across at best as uninterested and at worst, spineless.

Some women wants shy guy because it is mysterious and a dare for them to know the boy deeply as well as they like a very reserved guy(behave and silent but deadly)!Some other girls wants a very naughty and liberated man because they want macho image as they feel they are really a woman in a wild situation!Girls have different types in terms of BF selection!

That's a good question. I've had more crushes on shy guys because somehow they seem more intriguing. If a guy is too outgoing, that can be kind of obnoxius. The trick is to find someone with the right balance.

That's a hard one... on one hand a shy guy is more likely to be sweet and compassionate and likely loyal. On the other hand we want to feel feminine and nothing makes that happen faster than an aggressive man. It's a toss up for me. Best wishes

I think shy guys are definitely a turn off. If someone can't even come up and talk to me what's the point? To me shyness expresses insecurity and lack of personality.

I like a confident man. A shy man is alright if you're musing poetry or have a quiet, sheltered life. But if going out in public, I want a man who is gregarious, not a shrinking violet. Sorry.

I like some shy guys because they usually dont have big egos and know how to treat someone like a real person. But i like talking to shy guys because once you actually get that person to open up to you, you can really talk about things and i like that.

It depends on the girl. Shy girls have a tendency to prefer shy guys because it gives them a chance to be aggressive when they normally would not. Other girls like guys to be the aggressor.
