Oh yeah. I like to chop up bacon bits and/or chives and put them in the patty. It's just like eating a baked potato. Never tried them with buttermilk or mushroom sauce. Gravy is good though.

When I think of potato pancakes I think of jewish latkes and they are very good. I recently had potato pancakes at a restaurant and they were just regular pancakes with shredded potatoes mixed in the batter and they were terrible! Very doughy in the middle. Will stick with what I make.

My grandpa used to make those. I love them they are good with maple sryup to with sasage links. Yummy!!
