They might as well put the tooth fairy, easter bunny,in the bible they are all in the same catagory. It a story book but the Bible hurts a lot of people it gives false hopes.

although I'm not Christian, I am raising my son in a Christian church. I personally believe that most Christian's have lost site of their only holy day.
It was clear in my house as I was growing up that Christmas was in celebration of Jesus's birthday. The presents were in honor of him, not all this Santa Claus stuff. Yes, we did have Santa Claus but were always told from the beginning who he really was.
A lot of it has to do with the commercial products and everybody trying to outby their children's friends. I think it's ashme that people have lost faith in their own holidays.
No, I never have come across the tooth fairy in the bible. But these are fun little traditions that many families do. If it doesn't suit your family or go's against your beliefs, don't do it!
I know I will get asked this, so I will state I am sending my son to a Christian church because I believe the majority of the commandments to be good moral values that need to be instilled both at home and at church. My son will know about all religions I feel that are not destructive (example anything sacrifical). When he is old enough to make up his own mind the choice will be his. I respect all religions and non-religion choices as to be a personal choice. Just because I don't find my own faith needs fulfilled within the Christian religion does not mean I do not respect it.

Well if you read the bible you wouldn't be asking a stupid question like is Jesus Santa Clause or is the Tooth Fairy in the bible. And the reason Christmas is so much about presents is because it has become commercialized to the point of stupidity and it has lost alot of its meaning.
It should always be about the giving instead of the receiving.

Jesus is Jesus. Santa Clause, or Saint Nicholas, is a lovely family fun and commercial interests idea. The tooth fairy is most certainly not in the bible and is an invention of parents fed up with their children wining about loosing teeth.

Can't it be both?? My family always celebrated Christmas from both aspects...the magic of Santa Claus...and the wonder of Jesus. And NO, it did not make my kids think I was a liar when they found out the truth. In fact, I still like to believe in Santa in my heart...along with my grandkids.

i totally agree
Jesus was born and we make stupid stuff like santa claus and the tooth fairy
we should be praising Him and looking forward to His birthday and not presents or Santa Claus
i dont even know why santa claus was invented maybe because they wanted to replace Jesus
everyone teaches their kids that santa claus is real and all
then they believe it and think that Christmas is all about what santa claus and presents and they get selfish
instead of thanking the Lord for all He has done!!

Hmmmm, well as far as I am concerned, these are holidays for Children. And to me putting the religious aspect to the side it means all of our family gets together, eats, drinks, sings and the kids explode with excitement. Can't think of anything better than that. Who cares whats in the bible, I'm living for today and this holiday makes our lives more richer and makes families closer. It also seems that people are more giving than any other time and I think the poor people really really appreciate that. They cherish what they get because they don't get that kind of help any other time.

Most all of the Christian holidays are on or around the same day as the old pagan celebrations. The easter bunny, chicks, eggs are signs of spring fertility not of the rebirth of christ. The yule tree and gifts are about the death of the holly king The early christian churches were built on pagan holy ground to attract the pagans to the new religion, so of the first churches had pagan statues and carving of pagan goddess
