People spend years going to college and chasing their careers and dreams to help prosper themselves while they are here on earth, and to leave something behind for their families when they die.
But what about what will happen for you AFTER you die!?!?!?!?!
So many people concentrate on the American dream and how they can "PROSPER"! But if you go to hell all of this will mean nothing.
And for those that don't believe that there is a "Hell"
My question to you is .
What if you are wrong and YOU end up there??????

Death will find me whether I am prepared or not. The concept of Hell is not a universal concept. Hades and Shoel were places where people were in a zombie-like sleep state. Hell (in this part of the world) is a christian invention. (Christianity likes to pretend that it picks up where Judaism leaves off, but actually ends up spending most of the time contradicting and misqoting it.) Even the references in the NT are vague and of questionable translation (the references to "Gehenna" are clearly meant not to refer to "hell" but are always mistranslated as that.)

So, there is not this intractable 5000 year tradition of "hell" that you are hoping for. You are assuming that your christian god is the right one so you are basing everything on him (or what you think was said about him 1500-2000 years ago.) Worse than that, you are trying to push your beliefs on eveyone else.

Unfortunately, your god bases salvation on faith and not on deeds. If I were god (or if god were a rational god) I would not care how people believe and whether or not they follow silly rituals. I would look at how people behave and treat each other. I'm sorry, but your egocentrism and intollerance would count against you. Fortunately for you, I am not god. Fortunately for me, neither is your god.

Who's to say that people who eat cheese won't go to hell? That makes about as much sense to me as the christian faith.

How does one prepare for a void of non-existence? Waste time doing that and you waste the precious little time you have to exist. Why would you buy the religion lie?Religion is the perfect con. It is government protected, tax free, and the product they sell never has to be delivered until you reach a place that doesn't exist. Little wonder so many con-men (and women) jump on that manured money wagon.

What if YOU'RE wrong and you wasted the only life you'll ever have chasing a fantasy?

We know we have the life we have. We know people die. We don't know there is anything after death. Doesn't it make more sense to live life based on what you know?

As a born-again Christian I have put to rest the question of where I am going to go when I die. There is no fear in death for me.
So, I choose to spend my life trying to get other people saved so that they will also go to heaven when they die.

COncept of hell was introduced only bu inspired writers of NT.
OT has separation from GOD but not hell.
So why would we want to get prepared for something that was invented by inspired ppl who can't even tell us who find the empty tomb of jesus.
$ gospels. 4 different accounts. I guess after all some1 was less inspired than others.

Have a good read of the answer about Pascal's wager. Then grow up, get on with your life and forget about the fairy tales, or in the case of the hell myth, the scary tales.

do you think that thats all there is when we die(heaven and hell)and thats it. no there is alot more than that.the threat of hell and the promise of heaven are just mental tools to keep us in the dark about who we really are.there is life after death beyond this heaven and hell.and i don't really care about this american dream because this life is just a game.

You want to live preparing only for death and nothing for the life you have to go through to reach death? How brave of you.

The only thing promised is death AND taxes. Therefore if the ppl don't toil and work and go to school, they will not be able to pay there taxes!
